Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the accuracy of molding and considerably improve yeilds by pressure-molding the primary molding which has been rough-forged with primary dies, successively from the side faces and end parts in secondary dies.
CONSTITUTION: A bar-shaped material is sandwiched between a pair of two-split primary dies, and after the primary dies are closed under pressure, punches are advanced from the side faces, whereby the material is spread and a primary molding II is formed. Thence, the primary molding II is sandwiched between a pair of two- split secondary dies 8, 9, which are then closed under pressure. The dies 8, 9 are pierced with through-holes 10, 11 for punches 13, 14 for side faces respectively in the vertical directions and a through-hole 12 for a punch 15 for a large end part is pierced in the side face across the dies 8, 9. First, a pair of the punches 13, 14 are advanced to mold under pressure the side faces, whereby a material III is formed. Thence, the punch 15 is advanced to form the shape of the large end part of the connecting rold, whereby a material IV is obtained. The material IV is easily removed to the outside by utilizing the punch 14.
