Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the pressure resistance of the sealing part by providing a non-brazing portion in the brazing portions at the time of sealing a metal body through brazing to the opening of a ceramic barrel.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of brazing a metal cap 2 to the opening of a ceramic barrel 1, the metallizing layer and plating layer respectively composed of W, Mo, etc. are formed on the brazing surfaces 3, 5 of the both, and a brazing material 6 of silver/copper eutectic system or the like is interposed therebetween. At this time, an annular groove for forming a blank non-blazing portion 7 is provided between the thick-walled disc part 2a and peripheral edge part 2b of the cap. In this way, the stress produced in the interface of the brazing portion by the heat at the brazing is escaped into the non-brazing portion. Hence, the sealing strength of the entire part of the sealing part increases and the pressure resistance is enhanced.
