Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent corrosion of a flange part of a lip by moving away the middle parts of the lip from the shoulder part and closing two ends of the tip to the shoulder part. CONSTITUTION: At first, a cover 10 is pressed against the cylinder 12 so as to crush the bead 19 of the diaphragm 20 between two shoulder parts 14, 18. Then, zones of less resistance 24 located between boundaries of the slots 22 and a free edge of outer projection 16 are stamped in such a way that the middle part of the stamped lip moves away from the shoulder 18, and the two ends of the lip closes to the shoulder. At last, the pressure acting on the two parts is released. Therefore, the middle part of the lip does not contact with the shoulder 18, and corrosion of edge of the lip can be prevented.
