Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a pressure regulating valve device applicable to piping for shallow or for deep wells comprising varying the modes of mounting a valve proper on valve seats.
CONSTITUTION: In the proposed pressure regulating valve device 8, a valve seat 20 consists of one face 32 and the other face 36, the former being provided with rib- like projections 34 and the latter without. Accordingly, when a valve proper 22 is mounted on the valve seat 20 with the face 32 facing the valve proper 22, the two facing surfaces do not entirely come into close contact but form a clearance therebetween as wide as the height of the projection 34. On the other hand, when the face 36 of the valve seat 20 is arranged to face the valve proper 22, the two facing surfaces come closely into contact in their entirety. Thus, the device 8 may be used in pumping mechanisms for shallow wells or deep wells whichever by changing the modes of mounting the valve proper on the valve seat.
