Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a photoelectric transducer which has a small eccentricity between the outside diameter and the inside diameter of a connector and is mass-produced and is inexpensive, by fixing the optical fiber connector to the center of a metallic cylinder, which is attached to cover a stem to which a photoelectric transducer element is attached, with a metallic ring and a solder material. CONSTITUTION:A cap-shaped metallic main body 4 is fitted to a metallic stem 3 where leads 1 are fixed through insulating materials 2, and this main body 4 is fixed by an indium solder 11. A photoelectric transducer element 5 is attached to the center of the stem 3. A metallic ring 13 is fitted to the large-diameter part of a stepped hole in the center of the upper face of the main body 4, and a connector 12 consisting of a ceramic material is fitted to the metallic ring 13. A metallic pipe 14 is fitted to the lower part of an optical fiber insertion hole 7 of the connector 12 and is fixed to the main body 4 by a solder 15. An optical fiber 6 is inserted into the insertion hole 7. Thus, a photoelectric transducer with the optical fiber is obtained which has a small eccentricity between the outside diameter and the inside diameter of the connector and is mass-produced and is inexpensive.
