Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent deformation of a cable and smoothly laying it for a long distance by airtightly sealing the element wire and the sheath with a gas dam structure, and by sealing the gas dam structure and pipe with the aid of an O-ring. CONSTITUTION:The element wire 33 of a cable 13 is inserted in a rigid casing 22 at a point with a space set off for the laying length from the end of the cable 13, and the casing is filled with a sealing material 45 of synthetic resin, and then the element wire 33 is airtightly covered with the sealing material 45 to accomplish a gas dam structure. A mounting hole 14 is formed on the midway of a pipe 12, and the end of the cable 13 is inserted from this hole 14, and the pipe 12 is equipped with a hole 46 possible to be blocked for drawing out the end of the cable 13 to outside the pipe 12. A wire 50 is inserted in the pipe 12 in its laying extent, and the end of the wire 50 is taken out of the pipe 12 via the hole 46. The cable 13 and the wire 50 are at their ends coupled together outside the pipe 12, and the coupled part is accomplished in the pipe 12, and the joint between the pipe 12 and the peripheral surface of casing 22 is sealed with O-rings 43, 44 of self-tightening sealing member.
