Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce pump loss with partial load and to improve fuel consumption efficiency by providing an ejector on an exhaust pipe of an engine thereby reducing back pressure by reducing engine exhaust port. CONSTITUTION:An ejector 6 is mounted on an exhaust pipe 5 of an engine body 1. A compressor 11 is provided at nozzle side and the air is injected at high speed from the nozzle 8. This injection creates a negative pressure in a negative pressure chamber 7 which reduces the pressure of the exhaust port 4 and the back pressure of the engine. Heat and fuel efficiency are improved particularly with partial load by the reduced pump loss. In some operating conditions, exhaust gas temperature is decreased and the flow resistance at the down stream of the ejector 6 is reduced which results in the reduction of the exhaust noise.
