Abstract
PURPOSE:To make an intermediate cooler small and lightweight, by arranging a heat accumulator in a suction path between a compressor outlet of a turbosupercharger and a suction manifold of an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust gas from the engine 1 is led to a turbine of the turbochager 2, and is exhausted via a muffler 3. The suction gas taken via an air cleaner 4 is led to a compressor 6 of the turbocharger 2, and is introduced via the suction path 7 into the suction manifold 8. The suction path 7 is provided with as an intermediate cooler the heat accumulator 9 that conducts heat exchange with the suction gas flowing through the suction path 7. Consequently, since the volume of the heat accumulating body is small, it can be made small and lightweight, and cooling can be effected only at the time of supercharging.
