Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the heat deformation resistance and heat conductivity of an Al alloy by providing a specified composition contg. Mn, Zr and Si.
CONSTITUTION: This Al alloy has a composition consisting of, by wt., 0.1W0.8% Mn, 0.02W0.2% Zr, 0.1W0.8% Si and the balance Al with inevitable impurities. This alloy has superior heat deformation resistance (sagging resistance) and higher heat conductivity than a conventional Al alloy. Accordingly, this alloy shows superior performance when used as the fin material of a heat exchanger made especially of A8 alloy.
