Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive Cu alloy provided with extremely high heat resistance and conductivity by contg. Te, Zr, Cu respectively at prescribed ratios and consisting of the balance Cu.
CONSTITUTION: A Cu alloy consisting of 0.001W0.06% Te, 0.002W0.05% Zr, 0.002W0.05% Mg by weight % and the balance substantially Cu. If said contents are set respectively at 0.003W0.03% Te, 0.004W0.03% Zr, and 0.004W0.03% Mg, much better properties are obtained. Since this Cu alloy has high heat resistance and high conductivity and dses not contain Ag at all, it is relatively inexpensive. Hence, it is usable as a substituting material for Cu-Ag type alloys which are heretofore used in areas where high conductivity and heat resistance are required.
