Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the fatigue and deformation during brazing and to enhance the yield by adding prescribed amounts of Mn, Si, Zr, Cr and Al.
CONSTITUTION: The titled alloy consists of, by weight, 0.9W1.5% Mn, 0.2W1.5% Si, 0.02W0.2% Zr, 0.05W0.4% Cr and the balance Al. When the material of fins obtd. by rolling the alloy is vacuum-brazed to the material of tubes, it shows superior sagging resistance independently of the cold working rate, prevents the occurrence of fatigue and deformation, and enables satisfactory brazing.
