Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent corrosion of plate and pipe materials constituting fluid passages by a method wherein the compositions and combinations of materials constituting working fluid passages and fins are specified and the sacrifice anode effect of fins is utilized, in a titled heat exchanger used in automobile radiators or the like.
CONSTITUTION: A fin material 1 consists of a brazing sheet which comprises an aluminum alloy as a core material and an Al-Si or Al-Si-Mg brazing material as a covering material. The aluminum alloy contains 0.1W5% of Zn and 0.2W2% of Mn, or further contains at least one of 0.1W1% of Mg, 0.01W1% of Cu, 0.01W 0.5% of Cr, 0.01W0.5% of Zr, 0.05W1% of Fe. In addition, a working fluid passage 3 is constituted of a corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy which contains 0.1W2% of Mn and 0.01W1% of Cu, or further contains at least one of 0.1W1% of Mg, 0.01W0.5% of Ti, 0.01W0.5% of Zr, 0.01W0.5% of Cr, and 0.05W2% of Si.
