Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled aluminum alloy having favorable corrosion resistance and excellent in sag resistance and brazeability by preparing an aluminum alloy containing Mn, Mg, Si and Zn at specified ratios.
CONSTITUTION: An aluminum alloy containing either one or both of 0.4W1.5% of Mn and 0.3W0.9% of Mg and also containing 0.75W1.6% of Si and 0.2W3.0% of Zn is prepared. In addition to the essential constituents, the alloy may further contain 0.03W0.25% of Cr, 0.05W0.25% or Zr, 0.01W0.1% of V, 0.05W0.35% of Ti and an insignificant amount of Fe.
