Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a steel plate enabling superior galvanizing when an NOF system galvanizing method is applied, by specifying C, Si, Mn, Cr, Al and Si equiv. in steel.
CONSTITUTION: This steel plate consists of ≤0.15% C, ≤0.8% Si, 0.10W2.4% Mn, ≤1.60% Cr, 0.002W0.080% Al and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and has <0.90% Si equiv. according to the equation or contains ≤0.30% Ti and/ or Nb furthermore. More C is preferable in strength, yet C is restricted with respect to the spot weldability. More Si is preferable in strength, yet Si is restricted with respect to the galvanizability. Mn has the same action as Si and acts in the formation of a composite structure in the steel. The lower limit or more of Mn is required with respect to the prevention of hot embrittlement during rolling, yet more than the upper limit of Mn deteriorates the galvanizability. More Cr is preferable in strength, yet Cr is restricted with respect to the galvanizability. Al enhances the deoxidation and the addition yields of Si, Mn and Cr, yet excess Al deteriorates the quality. The Si equiv. is restricted with respect to the galvanizability.
