Abstract

PURPOSE: To lower yield strength of an obtained high tensile galvanized steel plate and improve zinc adhesability by a method wherein a steel containing a low amount of carbon, silicon and an appropriate amount of Mn is subjected to hot and cold rolling and, thereafter galvanized in a continuous molten zinc plating line.
CONSTITUTION: A steel containing C: ≤0.20%, Si; ≤0.20%, P; ≤0.150%, sol Al; 0.01W0.20%, Mn; ≤3.5%, Mn+Si≤2.0% and comprising substanitally a balance of Fe is subjected to hot and cold rolling to produce a steel plate and this obtained steel plate is galvanized in a conventional continuous molten zinc plating line. The obtained high tensile galvanized steel plate has low yield ratio (yield strength/tensile strength) and good zinc adhesability.
