Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the title steel plate having a drawn grain structure and contg. C, Mn, P, sol. Al and N in a specified ratio while regulating the ratio of sol. Al/N to above a predetermined value.
CONSTITUTION: Steel is prepared consisting of C≤0.10%, Mn 0.02W3.0%, P 0.04W0.20%, S≤0.015%, esp.≤0.010%, sol. Al 0.02W0.30%, N 0.0075W 0.0200%, Si 0.0200W0.300% and the balance Fe. The ratio of sol. Al(%)/N(%) in the steel is required to be 2 or more. This steel is hot rolled by a usual method, coiled at below 600°C, and cold rolled at a reduction ratio above 30%. This cold rolled plate is then box-annealed in the form of a tight coil as usual to manufacture a high strength cold rolled steel plate having a predetermined drawn grain structure. This plate exhibits a tensile strength above 35kg/mm2 and is equal to a conventional cold rolled steel plate in characteristics such as workability and weldability.
