Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce an extra mild hot rolled-steel sheet with less heat consumption by continuously cating the steel which consists of specific composition and of which the relation between C and Mn in particular is set, and finish rolling the same at temp. above the Ar3 transformation point proportional to B addition amount at the reheating rolling. CONSTITUTION:The steel consisting of <=0.10% C, <=0.50% Mn, <=0.10% Si, <=0.020% P, <=0.020% S, 5-50ppm B and the balance iron with unavoidable impurities where C+1/6Mn <=0.14% is continuously cast. In hot rolling this high- temp. ingot directly or after heat retaining and light heating, the finish rolling is finished at temp. above the Ar3 transformation point lowring in proportion to the B contents in the steel. Since temp. conditions are eased by this method, the rolling is easy and the steel sheet making use of the superior characteritics of B such as softening and aging characteristic is obtained.
