Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce a damper vibration steel sheet which has high vibration damping ability and good worability by hot rolling ordinary carbon-contg. steel added with respectively suitable amounts of Si, Mn, S, Al under specific conditions and cold rolling the same after descaling. CONSTITUTION:The steel contg., by wt%, 0.03-0.30% C, <=1.40% Si, 0.14- 1.50% Mn, 0.35-0.150% S (where Mn/S>4), 0.02-0.20% Sol. Al, and <= 0.010% N (where Sol Al/N>2) and consisting of the balance Fe or unavodialbe impurities is treated in the following manner: If necessary, one or more kinds of <=0.010% B, <=0.20% Cu, <=1.0% Cr, and <=0.20% P can be contained. Namely, it is hot-rolled under conditions of above 800 deg.C final finishing temp. and 700- 760 deg.C coiling temperatures, and after descaling, it is cold rolled under conditions of 0.5-50% elongations or cold rolled under conditions of about >=50% elongtions, thence it is annealed at about 450-850 deg.C and further it is skin-pass-tempered at about 0.5-50% elongations.
