Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce a vibration control steel plate which has high vibration attenuating capacity, does not cause age deterioration and is superior in workability by preparing a steel of specific component composition and subjecting the same to hot rolling and cold rolling then decarburization-annealing to a specific content of carbon. CONSTITUTION:The steel satisfying with the contents of 0.004-0.80% C, <=4% Si, 0.15-3.0% Mn, 0.030-0.25% S and >=4 Mn/S, and further contg. 0.015-0.20% Sol Al, and the balance consisting of Fe and unavoidable impurities is prepd. This is hot-rolled or further cold-rolled, after which it is subjected to decarburization annealing, whereby it is controlled to <=0.003% C. If cold rolling is not carried out, the steel is further subjected to skin-pass rolling of >=0.3%. The resultant vibration control steel plate is extremely effective for prevention of vibration and noise.
