Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an electrostatic recording body capable of repeated use of several thousand times by a method wherein a dielectric layer composed of spherical grains containing thermosetting resin and of dielectric resin is provided on a thin film electroconductive layer equipped on a smooth plastic sheet so that the layer shows a corrugated surface. CONSTITUTION:On a sheet 1 of plastic such as polyester is provided the thin film electroconductive layer 2 of a metallic thin film or a semiconductive thin film, and further, on it is provided a dielectric layer composed of spherical grains 3 (their specific resistances are preferred to be 10<12>OMEGAcm or more) made from mechanically strong thermosetting resin and of dielectric resin 4 such as copolymers and the like of polyester, polyvinyl chloride, epoxy, styrene-butadiene. After charged toner development is carried out on this electrostatic recordinary body, the toner picture obtained is transferred electrically, mechanically to the common paper and fixed to obtain a recorded picture. Then, new recording is made possible on the electrostatic recording body by removing the residual toner and giving reverse charges to the electrostatic latent image.
