Abstract

PURPOSE:To synthesize images by the use of positive originals by forming the elecrostatic latent image by an original image on one of two photoreceptors charged mutually to reverse polarities, allowing this to contact the other photoreceptor to transfer said image then writing an image to be synthesized. CONSTITUTION:A photoreceptor 1 provied with a photoconductive layer on a conductive substrate is formed in a drum shape, and is turnable in an arrow direction. A photoreceptor 2 contacting this is provided with a photoconductive layer on a conductive substrate formed into a belt shape, and is turnable in an arrow direction. At the time when a mirror 9 located in a solid line position turns in the arrow direction by being driven by the photoreceptor 1, an electrostatic latent image is formed on the photoreceptor 2 by slit exposure of an original surface, and this electrostatic latent image is electrostatically transferred onto the photoreceptor 1 at the time when the photoreceptors 1, 2 contact by rolling, thence the image of writing light 13 to be synthesized is written by the optical line scanning in accordance with the image signal.
