Abstract
PURPOSE: To economically and accurately perform the equivalence test of each characteristics of a motor main body of a commutator-less motor system by a method wherein a driving motor and a thyristor power rectifier having a current control system are made principal constituent components.
CONSTITUTION: A given field current is supplied to a field winding 11 of the motor 1 to be tested by means of an excitation system 3 and then, the motor 1 to be tested is controlled and driven so as to rotate with a given revolution speed by means of a DC motor and a control system 2 thereof. On this account, the motor 1 to be tested operates in a synchronous generator operation. In this case, the power rectifier 4 is turned OFF and ferrous loss, copper loss, mechanical loss and stray load loss, etc. as those of a synchronous machine are previously measured. And thereafter, when the power rectifier 4 is operated by means of a current control system 6, the armature current is rectified to run a direct current in accordance with a current command 61 to a DC reactor 5 and the current wave form becomes a rectangular wave of 120° conduction same as the operation of the commutatorless motor. In this way, a load etc. are not required and measurement is performed only for a loss part, thus, enabling an economical and accurate equivalence test.
