Abstract
PURPOSE:To make is possible to detect the relative position of the armature winding and the field winding by giving the three-phase balanced voltage of the known frequency to detect said input power before starting a brushless commutatorless motor. CONSTITUTION:In a unit wherein a brushless commutatorless motor 3, which supplies a current to a field winding 32 by a diode 33 and a rotary transformer 34, and a power converting device 2 are incorporated the three-phase balanced voltage of the known frequency lower than the rated voltage of the motor 3 is impressed on the armature winding 31 using a transformer 6. And the input voltage and current to the winding 31 are impressed on the position operation circuit 11 through the detectors 9 and 10. Thereby in the phase corresponding to the position of rotor once the field current flows in one direction for one cycle of power source. Said current can not be observed but by operating the input current into the winding 31 fluctuating with the same frequency to the power source it is possible to detect the position of the rotor without the mechanical position detector before the starting the motor.
