Abstract
PURPOSE:To permit recovering of the greater part of test driving power as electric power by converting the driving power to the internal losses, power generation output, etc. of an eddy-current joint and a power generator. CONSTITUTION:When electric current is applied to an exciting coil 53 while the magnetic body 51 of an eddy-current joint 5 together with a driving power source 1 to be tested are revolving, a magnetic drum 52 is rotated by the magnetic attraction force between the same and the drum 52 under the slipping corresponding to the exciting current in the same direction as the magnetic body 51. The rotor 61 of an induction motor 6 revolves as a speed of >= synchronous rotating speed and the motor 6 provides induction generation effect, thereby inducing regentative electric power. The greater portion of the driving power is recovered as electric power by the system of converting said driving power to the internal loss, power generation output, etc. of the current joint and generator, and the driving power testing of less heat losses is accomplished.
