Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a very smooth stopping of motor by stopping the power supply through the power supply control function in the inverter then stopping the frequency control function.
CONSTITUTION: When stopping the operation of a AC motor 18, the command from frequency command circuit 29 is brought to zero to perform three-phase DC excitation, then base cut-off signal is provided from base cut-off circuit 33 to the chopper signal circuit 26, thus to turn off the control elements 24, 25 which constitute current control chopper circuit B. At the same time, a timing circuit 37 attached to a conventional circuit is operated, and a control element 10 to 15 are turned off by applying the base cut-off signal to a distribution control circut 35 after a predetermined interval of time. Consequently the current for the three-phase excitation of a motor 18 is attenuated in the same time, and the direction of magnetic flux of the motor 18 is not varied to stop the motor 18 smoothly.
