Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve high performance speed control without requiring a means for detecting speed directly, by predicting angular speed of rotor from primary current and voltage of an induction motor. CONSTITUTION:An induced voltage operating circuit 22 operates alpha-axis component Ealpha and beta-axis component Ebeta of an induced voltage from a motor voltage, motor current and motor coefficient. A vector rotary unit 24 carries out coordinate conversion of the induced voltage to flux axis operated after a current model 10 and produces EM, ET. A regulator 25 operates EM with polarity corresponding to that of ET such that the phase of detected flux vector in the induced voltage vector and the phase of flux vector operated after the current model will go to zero, and produces an angular speed omegaE.
