Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the maintenance of the synchronous motor by controlling the field of the motor in complete slip-ringless manner over entire speed range. CONSTITUTION:A commercial power source 26 supplied an electric power to a wound-rotor type induction generator 22. The supplied electric power is controlled by the output voltage of a semiconductor switch 27. A transformer 28 and a rectifier 29 detect the armature voltage of the synchronous motor 14, the detected value is compared with the output signal of a speed detector 25, and an amplifier 30 is controlled by the error difference therebetween to produce an output current reference of the switch 27. On the other hand, the current flowing through the swithch 27 is detected by a current transformer 31, and an amplifier 32 compares it with a current reference and controls it. The output signal from the amplifier 32 is applied to a phase controller 33, which thereupon controls the output of the switch 27 so as to control the input power of the generator 22.
