Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a proportional relation between armature current and generated torque, regardless of increase or decrease of frequency, by comparing electric current standard which is eqivalent to armature current value with mean torque signal, and controlling field current with this deviation.
CONSTITUTION: When a synchronous motor 17 is driven by cyclon converter, each phase voltage of the motor 17 is detected with a detector 33, this output and together with output from current detector 20 and output from generator 19 are given to mean torque detecting circuit 34, this output and output in speed control circuit 28 which is equivalent to value of armature current are compared in comparative calculation circuit 35, and field windings J,K are controlled. Therefore, the relation between armature current and generated torque shows an excellent linearity, because field flux is controlled, coresponded to mean torque and deviation of electric current, and even though frequency would be increased or decreased, operation characteristic of power factor 1 can be obtained.
