Abstract
PURPOSE:To precisely control the speed of a linear synchronous motor by employing a position signal of frequency substantially equal to the speed of the motor and a frequency pattern corresponding to the speed pattern of a vehicle in phase difference. CONSTITUTION:A frequency pattern 22 corresponding to the speed pattern of a vehicle is generated from a frequency pattern generator 21. The phase difference between the frequency pattern 22 and the position signal 4 is detected by a phase difference detector 23. A phase difference compensating unit 25 is accelerated or decelerated in the current peak value 26 in response to the detected phase difference 24. The value 26 is applied to a current limiter 14 to form a current peak value pattern 15. Subsequently, a current waveform pattern 20 and a current peak value pattern 15 are multiplied by a multiplier 16 to produce a current pattern 5. The armature coil current 10 detected by a current detector 9 is compared with the current pattern 5 by a comparator 6, a power converter 8 is so controlled that the compared output becomes low. Thus, the speed of the motor is precisely controlled.
