Abstract

PURPOSE: To smoothly control the acceleration and the deceleration of a Scherbius system by comparing a sine wave signal from a secondary ascending magnetic flux phase detector with a phase control signal and controlling a firing angle with an AND signal of the comparision output signal and a rectangular wave based on the sine wave signal.
CONSTITUTION: The primary side of a wound-rotor induction motor is connected to an AC power supply, and the secondary side thereof is connected through converters 2, 4 to the AC power supply. A phase control signal is applied from a control signal arithmetic circuit 16 on the basis of signals from a speed setting potentiometer 5 and a speed detector 6 to a comparator circuit 12. On the other hand, a sine wave signal obtained from a secondary ascending magnetic flux phase detector 11 is also applied to the comparator circuit 12, which thereupon compares the phase control signal in magnitude with the wave signal. A rectangular wave detector circuit 13 produces a rectangular wave signal having a pulse duration of 180° synchronized with the output signal from the phase detector 11. A distribution signal detector circuit 14 produces a signal varying in phase in response to the phase control signal from the logical product of both the output signals from the circuits 12 and 13 as a distribution signal. A gate amplifier 15 produces a firing signal of the converter 2.
