Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the accuracy of controlling the speed of a linear synchronous motor and the followup property thereof to a speed pattern by controlling the magnitude of a current pattern in response to the phase difference between the position signal and the frequency pattern of the motor. CONSTITUTION:A phase difference detector 23 produces a phase difference signal 24 between the frequency pattern 22 corresponding to the speed pattern of a vehicle and a position detection signal 4, and a phase difference compensating unit 25 produces a current peak value 26 in response to the phase difference signal 24. The maximum value of the current peak value 26 is limited by a current limiter 14 to become a current peak value pattern 15. On the other hand, the pattern 15 is multiplied by a current waveform pattern 20 synchronized with the position signal 4 produced from a current waveform pattern generator 19 by a multiplier 16 to produce a current pattern 5 flowed through the armature coil 2 of the motor.
