Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance economy of screw type compressor, by alternatively performing sliding control by line source change of an electric motor and speed control by changing the number of pole, according to the signal from the heat load.
CONSTITUTION: An intake pressure detector 8 is provided on the suction side of a compressor 1, and the signal from the intake pressure detector 8 is inputted in a revolution speed regulator 5 which receives the signal from a revolution speed detector 4 and this requlator is connected to a revolution speed controller 6. The economy of screw type compressor is thereby raised, since the successive sliding control including a feedback circuit due to variable voltage of squirred-cage induction motor, and the speed control through complex steps of conversion can be performed alternatively according to the signal from the heat load.
