Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the fluctuation of rotating speed of and the pulsation of torque of a commutatorless motor by superimposing the output signal of a beat compensator with the arc phase control signal of a Leonard unit to thereby suppress its beat phenomenon.
CONSTITUTION: This device consists of a three-phase synchronous motor 5, an AC power supply 1 for supplying a current to the motor 5, a Leonard unit 2 for providing variable DC voltage from the power supply 1, an inverter 4 for converting the output voltage from the unit 2 to an alternating current, a rotor position detector 6 for generating an energization signal of the inverter 4, and a beat compensator 11 for generating an AC signal coincident to the commutation current always in the minimal phase. It suppresses the beat phenomenon by superimposing the output signal of the compensator 11 with the arc phase control signal of the unit 2. Thus, it can reduce the fluctuation of the revolving speed of or the pulsation of the torque of the motor to precisely control the speed of the motor.
