Abstract
PURPOSE: To close the outflow port accurately even for a high pressure water supply by scattering water from an inflow port in the diametrical direction along the surface of valve seat with a valve arranged at the center of a valve plate of an automatic faucet.
CONSTITUTION: During the supply of water with a float 24 lowering, water in a valve chamber 6 flows from a pilot valve hole 19, creating a relatively low pressure at the back side of a valve plate. On the other hand, water from an inlet 7 flows into the valve chamber 6 from an inflow port 8 and after scattered in the diametrical direction with a hood 14, flows toward an outflow port 9 at a high rate between a valve seat surface 15 and the valve plate 16. Then, it flows out into a tank 1 through a passage hole 10 and an annular hole 11. With such an arrangement, while water from the inflow port 8 in no way hits direct into the valve plate 16, the high-speed flow due to hood 14 works to draw the valve plate 16 to the valve seat surface 5 thereby ensuring the accurate closure of the outflow port 9 in the supply or stoppage of water even in high pressure water supply.
