Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent impact by water impingement, etc. at the time of closing a water supply valve, by conducting pressure restoration of a diaphragm chamber at a slow speed.
CONSTITUTION: When a water level in a water tank dropped and a solenoid unit 56 becomes in "Valve Open" position, pressure in a diaphragm chamber 11 drops. This is because a flow rate to be discharged from a valve body 58 in "Open" position through a flow passage 51 is larger than a volume of control flow reaching the diaphragm chamber 11 from the main valve inlet 2 passing through a filter 20, a narrow water supply passage 53, a fluid resistance body 27, a narrow pressure supply passage 55 and a water supply pipe. And then, by a difference in pressure between top and bottom sides of the diaphragm 10, the diaphragm 10 is finally reversed to open a valve seat gate 6, and water flows from the inlet 2 into the water tank through the valve seat gate 6 and an oultet 5, and water supply to the tank is thus started. When the water level rose to open the solenoid unit 56 in this manner, the diaphragm 10 slowly returns to its initial "Close" position by the motion of the resistor 27 without giving rise to the water impingement.
