Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate easy maintenance of valves by automatically removing refuse caught in the strainer by the fluid flow running through the passage into a container upon detaching the valve plate from the seat.
CONSTITUTION: As fluid is supplied into the valve chest through a control orifice 11, refuse in fluid is caught by a strainer 13. When a control path 14 is made open, next, the pressure at the back space of the valve plate 10 decreases and the valve plate 10 is detached off the seat. Then, fluid flows from the in-coming passage 7, through the valve inlet 5, valve outlet 6 and the out-going passage 9 into a container. Along with this flow, refuse deposited in the strainer 13 is automatically removed and discharged through the valve outlet 6 and the out-going passage 9, facilitating easy maintenance of the valve.
