Abstract
PURPOSE: To clean the filtering film sufficiently by back wash with only a small amount of cleaning fluid, by back washing the filtering film with the air sent backward under pressure.
CONSTITUTION: When cleaning a filtering film 15 by back wash, switching valves 4, 6 are closed, and a switching valve 8 in the back wash air press-in pipe 7 at the peak of a vessel 1 is opened, and a switching valve 10 in a filtrate discharge pipe 9 in the lower bottom part of the vessel 1 is opened, then relatively low pressure air is led into a filtrate take-out chamber 13 in the vessel 1 from the back wash air press-in pipe 7. As a result, air passes in the reverse direction of the case of filtering through the filtering film 15 from the inside of each filter element 2 under pressure, and the filtrate clogged in the surface and inside of the filtering film 15 is cleaned by back wash with fluid flow containing much air. Then, the washed-out filtrate is sent out by a relatively small amount of liquid, together with air, into the filtrate discharge chamber 14 in the lower part of the vessel 1 and stand, and is immediately discharged by opening the switching valve 10 in the discharge pipe 9.
