Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent an undesirable phenomenon, such as water hammering from occurring in a fluid passage, by supplying a liquid constantly at a predetermined flow rate to a valve operation liquid chamber irrespective of variations in pressure of a liquid flowing in a pilot fluid passage so as to maintain the closing time for an automatic valve member at a constant level at all times.
CONSTITUTION: A liquid discharge passage 21 communicated with a controlling valve 9 is communicated via a pilot passage 20 with a main passage 2A provided on the upstream side of an automatic valve member 4. An auxiliary passage 22 communicated with a valve operation liquid chamber 7 branches away from the pilot passage 20. When closing the automatic valve member 4, a valve closing liquid is supplied to the valve operation liquid chamber 7 through the auxiliary passage 22. When opening the automatic valve member 4, a liquid is supplied to the liquid discharge passage 21 through the pilot passage 20. Therefore, the closing time for the automatic valve member 4 has no relation with the opening time therefore, and the diameter (c) of a restriction 23 in the auxiliary passage 22 can be determined independently. Consequently, water hammering never occurs when the automatic valve member 4 is closed.
