Abstract

PURPOSE: To widen the effective control area of the spool of a direction-switching valve, by a method wherein, in a direction-switching valve with pressure compensation, a discharge pressure fluid in a pressure fluid source is all discharged into a tank through a pressure compensate valve when the direction-switching valve is situated in a neutral position.
CONSTITUTION: A pressure compensate valve 4 and a valve 5 are mounted between a direction-switching valve 2 and a pressure fluid source 3. When the direction- switching valve 2 is positioned at neutral, both a toroidal channel 28 in the direction-switching 2 and a feed path 21 are closed, and thereby a pressure fluid begins to be increased in pressure. A spring chamber 53 of the pressure compensate valve 4 is then connected to a tank through a pilot path 40, and a pressure chamber 52 is coupled to a line 17 through a pilot path 55 and the valve 5 to exert a pressure. This causes the rightward movement of a spool 49 to couple together a toroidal channel 42 and a toroidal channel 44, and the whole amount of the pressure fluid in the pressure fluid source 3 flows out to the tank.
