Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance resposibility by driving an accelerating pump, using negative pressures of a sensing port bored near the upper stream side of a fully closed throttle valve.
CONSTITUTION: A suction pipe 1 is provided with a throttle valve 2 and a sensing port 11 for introducing negative pressures. The sensing port 11 is installed over the throttle valve 2 when it is fully closed. The sensing port 11 is communicated with a negative pressure chamber 10 of a negative pressure device 3. A diaphragm 9 of the negative pressure device 3 is connected to a diaphragm-operated lever 17 fastened to a diaphragm 17 of a mechanically operated pump 4 through an operating lever 12, and a link arm 13 and drives the diaphragm 17 of the pump 4 responding to negative pressures. Responding to the action of the diaphragm 17, pumping action is generated in a pump chamber 15. Fuel is introduced into the pump chamber 15 and injected into the suction pipe 1.
