Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce fuel for starting in accordance with advancing condition of warming up by providing a flow rate control valve to narrow the suction air passage area by rising suction pipe negative pressure in said passage for starting provided in the carburetor.
CONSTITUTION: A carburetor 1 with a main nozzle 5 and a throttle valve 8 is provided in the main suction air passage 2. In the passage 2, also provided in parallel is a suction air passage 10 for starting of which one end 10a opens into the atmosphere and the other end opens into the passage in the downstream of the throttle valve 8. A starting nozzle 21 which is opened at the start to conduct fuel for starting is connected to the passage 10, and the back part of said passage 10 is branched off into two passages 26a, 26b. Then a flow rate control valve 27 is provided in the passage 26a, and a throttle 33 is provided in the passage 26b. The control valve 27 is sucked up when suction negative pressure rises to close the passage 26a, and fuel is provided only through the passage 26b as the warming up proceeds.
