Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the purging time at sart and minimize the cooling of a waste heat recovery boiler by providing a bypass damper and a boiler entrance damper in a waste heat recovery boiler which generates steam by means of the exhaust of a gas turbine. CONSTITUTION:A gas turbine generator 100 and a wast heat recovery boiler 200 are installed in a combined plant. For the purge at start, a boiler entrance damper 153 is fully closed and a bypass damper 152 is fully opened. On the other hand, when a firing failure is detected, the boiler entrance damper 153 and the bypass damper 152 are fully opened. The gas turbine is re-purged and the gas turbine firing is repeated. This can reduce the purging time, minimize the cooling of the waste heat recovery boiler which has been kept warm, and prevent the gas turbine from being exploded.
