Abstract
PURPOSE: To shorten the starting time of the plant while improving the efficiency thereof by warming up a steam turbine in starting thereof with a hot air blower provided at an outlet of a boiler in a steam-gas turbine combined cycle plant.
CONSTITUTION: A hot air blowe 14 combining a heater and blower is provided at an outlet section of a boiler (not illustrated). In order to switch hot air to steam and vice versa, a hot air inlet valve 15 and a boiler outlet valve 16 are provided at the inlet of the boiler and a condenser inlet valve 17 and a hot air relief valve 18 are at the inlet of a condenser (not illustrated). At the start up, the inlet valve 15 and the relief valve 18 are opened while the outlet valve 16 and the condenser inlet valve 17 are closed and a hot air is sent from the hot air blower 14 to warm up various parts of the steam turbine 9. After the warming up, the hot air blower 14 is stopped and the steam from the boiler is let pass through the condenser 10. Thus, the parallel operation of starting a gas turbine and warming up the steam turbine 9 can reduce the plant starting time substantially.
