Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the operation of blast furnace plant stable and achieve the higher energy recovery efficiency of blast furnace gas and less noise by performing top pressure controlling in the order of turbine control valve, variable throat type ventury element and septum valve.
CONSTITUTION: When the blast furnace system is started of operation, its septum valve is operated to allow the entire amount of the blast furnace gas to pass to a turbine 8. At the same time, the top pressure is controlled by operating a turbine control valve 7 by a turbine top pressure control unit 11 and it is controlled to the specified differential pressure at which a ventury scrubber 3 provides dust-removal effect, by operating a variable throat type ventury element 4. When the turbine 8 is not operated, the septum valve 6 is opened and the turbine control valve 7 is closed, thence the top pressure is controlled while removing dust by operating the ventury element 4 by a ventury scrubber top pressure control unit 12. In the event of a fault in the ventury scrubber, the septum valve 6 is operated by a septum valve top control unit 13, whereby the top pressure is controlled.
