Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the needs of an installation of an wet scrubber required for a starting of blast furnace operation, by setting up specifications of some of plural dust-collecting elements used for the titled equipment as special ones.
CONSTITUTION: Blast furnace gas is ordinarily distributed to each element 1W6, having a bag filter each, from an inlet path 7 through a branch pipe 8, and filtered exhaust gas is discharged through a branch pipe 9 and an outlet path 10. Here, the element 1 is formed to be separable from other elements 2W6, and its specification is as well made capable to deal with the gas containing much tar or mist. Hereby, a valve 13 is closed and valves 11 and 12 are opened to use the element 1 exclusively in an unstable period at the starting of operation, and next, valves 11 and 12 are closed and the valve 13 is opened to switch the use of element 1 to that of the elements 2W6 after the operation is stabilized.
