Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce pressure drop and to reduce the amt. of treating gases by turning the gas contg. dust, gathering the dust to the outer side of the flow, parting only the gaseous flow on said outer side part and removing the dust in a small sized dust collector.
CONSTITUTION: In lieu of using a cyclone type dust collector as a preduster, a gas contg. dust is conducted through an inlet duct 1 into a turning duct 2 where it is largely turned and the dust is gathered to the outer side of the flow, after which only the gaseous flow in the outer side part thereof is parted with a flow dividing wall 4 parallel with the flow. The dust concd. in the parted gaseous flow is removed with a small sized dust collector 5. The greater part of the gas to be treated is discharged through an outlet duster 3 without causing large pressure drop actually while it is subjected to dust removal as a preduster by leaving the dust of relatively large particles in the dust collector 5.
