Abstract

PURPOSE: The separator/discharger being constituted as follows; the exhaust gas containing fine dust is whirled upward within the stack; the fine dust is collected on the inner surface of the stack owing to the centrifugal force; the collected dust is discharged out of the stack due to the pressure difference; and only the fine dust is collected owing to the difference in the specific gravity.
CONSTITUTION: The gas, flowing out of the furnace 1, flows upward in the stack 2 being whirled by the screw guide 3. Hereupon, the fine dust, etc., contained in the gas, is collected on the inner surface of the stack 2 by the action of centrifugal force of the dust, and this fine dust together with a part of the exhaust gas is discharged into the separator/recovery tank 4 whose pressure is set at slightly lower than the pressure of the stack 2. Then, only the fine dust, etc., being separated by the difference in the specific gravity is collected in the tank 4; as a result, the separation can be smoothly progressed without disturbing the flowing out of the exhaust gas, and besides, the apparatus is simple and is excellent in the general-purpose characteristic.
