Abstract
PURPOSE: To surely capture the dust of fine particles and improve dust capturing efficiency by providing the means of removing dust from the high-concentration dust-laden gas such as blast furnace exhaust gas in an outer barrel then subjecting the same to secondary separation by using the inside of a boss.
CONSTITUTION: Dust-laden gas G reaches the hollow guide vane 12 of an outer barrel 11 and becomes swirling flow. The dust gathered on the inside wall of an outer barrel 11 by centrifugal force passes through a separating groove 15, goes through a separating chamber 17 and high-concentration dust-laden gas take-out port 15 and reaches a dust catcher 122, whereby it is removed. This low-concentration dust-laden gas containing fine particles of dust goes through a gas influent port 18, gas influent pipe 9 and central guide vane 13 and reaches the inside of a hollow boss 12, where it is again given swirling flow by a small-size guide vane 23. The dust is then taken out as the medium-concentration dust-laden gas from a hollow support vane 14, gas effluent chamber 21 and gas effluent port 20 out through the separating groove 15. Thence, it is removed of the dust in another dust remover and becomes clean gas which returns to the low pressure part of the line. The main flow gas having been removed of dust in the boss 12 flows out as clean gas from the open part at the rear end.
