Abstract
PURPOSE: To completely remove dust including small size particles by installing, at the entrance of a curve pipe, a specific projected pipe along the line of fluid flow and by collecting dust using its inertial and centrifugal force.
CONSTITUTION: At the outer diameter side, the farthest point from the center of a curve pipe 1, a dust-collecting chamber 4 consisting of projected pipe having a large diameter is installed as an integrated part of the curve pipe 1. The dust collecting chamber 4 consists of a straight guide pipe extending in the flow line of fluid at the pipe 1 entrance and a spherical closed end having a valve 3 to properly discharge stacked dust. Since the dust has a specific gravity heavier than that of fluid, the dust proceeds, along the arrow 5, into the chamber 4. If required, vanes 7 may be installed in the chamber 4.
