Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a dust collector having a high stability durable for a long-term use and a high dust collecting efficiency by providing a vortex cylinder between an outer cyclone and an inner cyclone.
CONSTITUTION: A suction force is generated in a discharge pipe 7 by means of a motor-driven fan so as to suck dust-containing air into a suction part 4. Coarse particles fall in a recovery container 11, cotton fiber, etc., are hooked on a metal net 12, and light particles go up and then enter through a guide plate 5 into an outer cyclone 2. The guide plate 5 takes in air flow along the circumferential direction, and the air flow turns inside the outer cyclone 2. The air flow further turns while passing through the apertures of the vortex cylinder 1, enters through a guide plate 6 into the inner cyclone 3, and then goes out of the discharge pipe 7 while turning. During the period, fine particles are separated from air by a centrifugal separation movement, and fine dust drops on the bottoms of the outer cyclone 2 and the inner cyclone 3 and then is gathered on dampers 8 and 9. Then, the motor is stopped and the dust is taken out. Thus, the dust collecting efficiency of the dust collector can be raised to approx. 99.9%.
